Overview

The HSE Advisor position focuses on developing and implementing health, safety, and environmental (HSE) policies while ensuring compliance with legislative requirements and promoting the well-being of employees and the environment.

In Short

• Promote adherence to health and safety standards.
• Develop and improve HSE policies and systems.
• Provide HSE training and advice to staff.
• Manage accident/incident investigations.
• Liaise with clients and government agencies on HSE matters.
• Participate in tender preparation related to HSE.
• Work closely with project management and HR teams.
• Maintain relationships with stakeholders.
• Make decisions on HSE improvements.
• Regular travel may be required.

Requirements

• Minimum Cert IV in Workplace Health and Safety.
• Experience in HSE for heavy industry.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Word and Excel.
• Experience with investigation methods like Tap root and ICAM.
• Experience in a rail environment is preferred.
• Cert IV in Training & Assessing is a plus.
• Experience managing teams.
• Auditing qualifications or experience.
