Linux Systems Administrator - TS/SCI POLY - Remote

Overview

Parsons is seeking a mid-level Linux Systems Administrator to support Linux based workstations and servers in both physical and virtual environments, performing daily systems checks and troubleshooting issues.

In Short

• Support Linux workstations and servers in physical and virtual environments.
• Perform daily systems checks and troubleshoot issues.
• Understand and support network designs and configurations.
• Install software and hardware systems.
• Diagnose and resolve user and system issues.
• Perform duties with minimal supervision.
• Document infrastructure changes.
• Support after hours system upgrades occasionally.
• Work with open source and commercial software technologies.
• Be a US Citizen with an active TS/SCI clearance with Poly.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a technology related discipline or equivalent experience.
• 3+ years experience with Linux operating systems.
• Experience in maintaining virtual environments.
• Understanding of basic networking technologies (TCP/IP, UDP).
• Familiar with Docker and virtualization technologies.
• Experience with automation tools like Salt, Ansible, Puppet.
• Knowledge of Atlassian software (Confluence, JIRA).
• Background in Network Security and server monitoring.
• Experience managing FreeIPA or LDAP systems.
• Familiar with server and networking equipment installations.
