Linux Systems Administrator - Remote

Overview

BDR Solutions, LLC supports the U.S. Federal Government in achieving its mission and goals. We are seeking a Linux Systems Administrator to manage and maintain our government client's infrastructure from a virtual home office.

In Short

• Position performed virtually from home office on EST schedule with up to 10% travel.
• Manage and maintain servers, storage, and network systems.
• Administer backup jobs for Linux and Windows systems.
• Troubleshoot and repair backups and performance issues.
• Perform operating system upgrades and security patching.
• Work with application administrators for performance analysis.
• Build and configure Linux and Windows systems.
• Maintain a consistent configuration baseline.
• Provide documentation and reports on system performance.
• Must be a U.S. citizen and able to obtain a Public Trust clearance.

Requirements

• Associate’s Degree in Computer Science or related field.
• 3 years of relevant experience, including SQL Server.
• Extensive experience in Client Server and Web Enabled applications.
• Knowledge of Linux/Windows system administration.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a VA Public Trust clearance.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
