Overview

The Data Systems Engineer will lead the architecture, implementation, and maintenance of complex data systems that power Working Families Party’s organizing, analytics, and automations infrastructure.

Requirements

• At least 6 years of experience in engineering or software.
• Expertise in Python and SQL.
• Experience with web application backends.
• Familiarity with cloud infrastructure (AWS, GCP).
• Debugging skills across multiple system layers.
• Strong project ownership and independent judgment.
• Experience in political or campaign work is a plus.
• Familiarity with orchestration tools like Prefect.
• Basic frontend development knowledge is beneficial.
• Strong communication skills.
