Overview

The Clinical Manager for the Laboratory is responsible for overseeing daily operations, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, and managing staff to provide exceptional patient care within the Cooley Dickinson Hospital network.

• Manage daily operations of the laboratory including staffing and workflow.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory agencies such as FACT, JC, OSHA, and CLIA.
• Develop and maintain quality assurance systems.
• Coordinate clinical trials and oversee compliance.
• Conduct interviews and recommend candidates for hiring.
• Provide staff training and education on safety and compliance.
• Monitor and supervise laboratory work to ensure adherence to SOPs.
• Prepare laboratory for regulatory reviews and inspections.
• Demonstrate leadership in a hospital-based CLIA laboratory.
• Engage in effective communication with staff and stakeholders.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Laboratory Sciences required.
• 5-7 years of lab experience required.
• 3-5 years of demonstrated leadership experience.
• Expert knowledge of regulatory requirements.
• Strong communication skills.
• Ability to manage staffing levels and workloads.
• Effective interviewing and training abilities.
