We are a remote-first technology company and welcome applications from candidates across Europe, including the EEA, the UK, Switzerland, and other non-EEA European countries such as Ukraine, Moldova, Georgia, Armenia, Montenegro, Turkey, and the Western Balkans. We also consider applicants from different locations who can work within Central European Time (CET).

In Short

• Drive and manage financial licensing processes in the EU and Great Britain.
• Maintain and open correspondent accounts.
• Handle complex legal requests and RFIs.
• Serve as the main liaison for correspondence with local law firms and regulators.
• Stay updated on applicable financial regulations.
• Develop and implement corporate compliance programs.
• Conduct audits and manage regulatory reporting.
• Lead the response to crises and emergencies.
• Improve company policies according to regulatory standards.
• Report regularly to the CEO on regulatory issues.

Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in Legal Counsel or Regulatory Compliance.
• Over 3 years in regulated companies with a track record in acquiring EU/UK licenses.
• Proficiency in fintech-related software and systems.
• Excellent communication skills to convey complex information.
• Understanding of international corporate law and compliance principles.
• Exceptional leadership skills to manage cross-functional teams.
• Knowledge of cybersecurity and fraud policies.
• Familiarity with CRM systems.
• Experience in achieving financial licensing is an advantage.
• Master’s degree in Law or related field preferred.
