Overview

MoonPay is looking for a Regulatory Counsel who will be an integral part of the company's legal team, working to ensure the business is able to secure and maintain regulatory licensing that enables the business to thrive.

In Short

Advise on legal and regulatory issues in digital assets and Web3.
Assist with global licensing strategy and applications.
Manage regulatory inquiries and investigations.
Monitor regulatory developments for product changes.
Collaborate on new product development.
Provide innovative legal solutions under tight timelines.
Work cross-functionally with legal, compliance, and operations teams.

Requirements

J.D. or LLM with active state bar membership.
7+ years of legal experience, preferably in-house.
Strong preference for experience in cryptocurrency or technology startups.
Experience in regulatory advice for cryptocurrency.
Ability to communicate complex legal concepts effectively.
Experience with SEC, CFTC, and financial regulatory agencies.
Ability to identify and enhance legal processes.
