Overview

The Bookstore Accounts Sales Manager is responsible for driving revenue growth and managing all bookstore channel relationships for the company, focusing on new business development, account retention, and strategic growth.

In Short

  • Own and manage all bookstore accounts across the assigned territory or nationally.
  • Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve or exceed revenue targets.
  • Identify and secure new bookstore accounts, including independent stores and regional chains.
  • Conduct regular in-person and virtual visits with key accounts.
  • Advise accounts on product selection and inventory optimization.
  • Manage order entry, pricing, and promotional activity.
  • Represent the company at trade shows and industry events.
  • Resolve customer issues proactively.
  • Monitor in-store performance and recommend adjustments.
  • Collaborate with internal teams on product development.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of sales experience in wholesale or consumer goods industries.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong drive to meet and exceed sales targets.
  • Ability to create long-lasting customer relationships.
  • Experience with CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Self-motivated with strong organizational skills.
  • Strong critical thinking skills.
  • Associate or Bachelor’s degree in business or related field.
