Overview

As a Clinical Pharmacist at Wellmark, you will support the management of clinical strategies to enhance medical and pharmacy drug programs and serve as a clinical resource.

In Short

  • Responsible for developing and maintaining evidence-based policies.

  • Perform clinical review of medication appeal requests.
  • Engage in formulary management and P&T Committee activities.
  • Utilize clinical experience to drive decisions and improve outcomes.
  • Communicate effectively with internal stakeholders.
  • Manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
  • Work in a hybrid schedule with at least 3 days in office.
  • Requires active Pharmacy license in Iowa or South Dakota.
  • Must have 3+ years of managed care pharmacy experience.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Pharmacy or PharmD.
  • Active Pharmacy license in Iowa or South Dakota.
  • 3+ years of managed care pharmacy experience.
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
  • Strong organizational and prioritization skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Knowledge of applicable rules and regulations.
  • Experience in clinical appeal reviews.
