Software Engineer - Observability Team - Remote

In Short

• Build, scale, and maintain Observability-as-Code (OaC) libraries.
• Work closely with Observability Champions and engineers across teams.
• Collaborate with platform teams for production debugging and system reliability.
• Partner with observability vendors to evaluate capabilities.
• Contribute technical guides and training sessions on observability best practices.
• Provide support to Engineers regarding observability tooling.
• Write clear, concise, and well-tested code in Python, Ruby, and/or JavaScript.
• Work as part of a small, agile, integrated product team.
• Learn new technical skills with tools or frameworks.

Requirements

• 3+ years of professional experience with Python, Ruby, JavaScript, or other languages.
• Experience with observability and alerting tools like DataDog and PagerDuty.
• Interest in working on technical projects from inception to delivery.
• Able to operate and monitor highly available systems in production.
• Pride in writing testable, modular, maintainable, and well-documented code.
• Experience with web application and/or distributed systems development.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Occasional requirement to be on-call outside of standard hours.
