Overview

As a Data Engineer at Wave, you will build tools and infrastructure to support data products and advance the organization towards a data-centric approach.

In Short

• Design and build a modern data platform with CDC-based ingestion using Debezium and Kafka.
• Maintain and enhance Amazon Redshift warehouse and legacy Python ELT pipelines.
• Build fault-tolerant, scalable, and cost-efficient data systems.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and deliver data infrastructure.
• Work autonomously to optimize data pipelines and improve workflows.
• Respond to alerts, troubleshoot incidents, and implement monitoring.
• Communicate complex concepts effectively to colleagues.
• Improve data accessibility and deliver solutions for actionable insights.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in data engineering and building data pipelines.
• At least 3 years of experience with AWS cloud infrastructure.
• Fluency in SQL and understanding of data modelling principles.
• Experience with Databricks is a plus.
• Strong coding skills in Python, SQL, and dbt.
• Experience building data lakes on S3 using Apache Hudi.
• Knowledge of CI/CD best practices for data pipelines.
