Manager, Finance - Remote

Overview

The Manager, Finance is responsible for managing the finance and accounting functions at multiple levels of the organization including managing a team of Finance staff.

• Permanent, full-time position (1.0 FTE).
• Remote position; must reside in Ontario or Nova Scotia.
• Manage finance and accounting functions.
• Full-cycle accounting using SAP.
• Prepare monthly financial statements.
• Provide financial analyses to assist management.
• Lead budget preparation processes.
• Ensure compliance with audit requirements.
• Support staff development and hiring.
• Implement process improvements.

Requirements

• Post-secondary degree in business, finance or accounting.
• Professional accounting designation (CPA or equivalent).
• Minimum 5 years’ accounting/finance experience.
• Experience managing people (minimum 2 years).
• Knowledge of Canadian accounting standards for not-for-profits.
• Experience in preparing funder reports preferred.
• Working knowledge of SAP, BOARD, Excel, and Outlook.
• Strong analytical skills.
• Proven managerial or leadership experience.
• Ability to communicate effectively with senior decision makers.
