Staff Data Engineer - Remote

Overview

Staff Data Engineers are responsible for being interpersonal force multipliers across the organization, augmenting our internal capabilities to effectively manage and leverage client data effectively. Staff Data Engineers work closely with functional leadership and data solutions team members to understand common client business needs and requirements to identify and develop data engineering solutions to meet those needs.

Because our clients are mostly US-based organizations, we look for the ability to communicate with professional proficiency in English, verbally and in writing.

In Short

• Lead and oversee various data engineering projects.
• Bridge technical gaps and ensure project alignment with business outcomes.
• Contribute to cross-team collaboration and alignment.
• Mentor data solutions team members and other data engineers.
• Optimize data pipelines for low latency and timely data processing.
• Act as an internal resource for advanced data warehousing techniques.
• Design and maintain data infrastructure for complex systems.
• Familiarity with MLOps techniques is a plus.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills are essential.
• Experience with cloud data warehouses and integration platforms.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Data Engineer or related role.
• Strong programming skills in Python and SQL.
• Deep knowledge of data warehousing and ETL/ELT processes.
• Intermediate/expert proficiency with data integration/orchestration platforms.
• Experience with cloud data warehouses like Snowflake or BigQuery.
• Familiarity with streaming solutions is desirable.
• Experience mentoring other engineers.
• Ability to define and explain technical architecture.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Strong experience with cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure.
