Overview

As a Staff Data Engineer at Apptegy, you'll have the opportunity to shape the future of our data strategy and infrastructure—not just build features. You'll design and embed scalable, resilient data solutions that power user experiences across our product suite.

In Short

• Lead the modernization, design, implementation, and maintenance of our data platform.
• Own the architecture and development of end-to-end data pipelines.
• Establish a single source of truth for all core data entities.
• Define and enforce data quality, security, privacy, and governance standards.
• Act as a technical mentor and a force multiplier for the engineering unit.
• Partner with product, engineering, and customer success teams to translate requirements into data solutions.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in a related field or equivalent experience with 8+ years in software or data engineering.
• Proven experience at the Staff or Principal level in a data engineering role.
• Expertise in Python, SQL, and data streaming frameworks like Kafka and Kinesis.
• Strong knowledge of data architecture, data modeling, and warehousing concepts.
• Extensive experience designing and building complex data pipelines.
