Analytics Engineer - Remote

Overview

Analytics engineers understand the fundamentals about how data can be modeled, explored, and interpreted to derive actionable insights from data, answer business questions, and support strategic decisions for our clients.

In Short

• Model and transform data for analysis and visualization.
• Design data models and implement data governance.
• Work with business intelligence platforms and data visualization tools.
• Provide constructive feedback on peer code and technical designs.
• Collaborate with data analysts and engineers to meet analytics needs.
• Deliver smaller analytics engineering tasks on time and within scope.
• Participate in design and bug fixes under supervision.
• Mentor less advanced team members.
• Engage in cross-team collaboration for analytics engineering approaches.
• Ensure efficient project delivery and prioritize impactful work.

Requirements

• Proficiency in SQL.
• Experience with data transformation tools (e.g., dbt).
• Knowledge of data modeling approaches (e.g., Kimball, OBT).
• Familiarity with business intelligence platforms (e.g., Sigma, PowerBI).
• Experience with cloud data warehouses (e.g., Snowflake).
• Knowledge of version control and git.
• Understanding of programming languages for data manipulation (e.g., Python, R).
• Familiarity with data integration patterns (e.g., CDC, ELT).
• Knowledge of data integration/orchestration platforms (e.g., Fivetran, Azure Data Factory).
• Ability to communicate in English professionally.
