Principal Software Engineer, Data - Remote

• Design and implement scalable ETL/ELT data pipelines.
• Manage data processing infrastructure across multiple AWS regions.
• Analyze current data architecture for security and performance.
• Develop serverless data processing solutions using AWS Lambda.
• Optimize data architecture within relational databases and data warehouses.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements.
• Write clean and maintainable code following best practices.
• Implement observability and alerting for data pipelines.
• Conduct code and data pipeline reviews and mentor peers.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in software engineering, particularly in data pipelines.
• Experience with AWS services such as S3, Athena, Lambda, and RDS.
• Proficiency in a modern programming language like Python.
• Strong experience with relational databases and data warehousing solutions.
• Experience leading engineers in data pipeline design and implementation.
• Experience in multiple cloud environments is desirable.
