Engineering Director - Core Platform - Remote

Overview

As the Director of Engineering for Core Platform, you will lead and grow a dynamic engineering organization focused on evolving and scaling the engineering systems & infrastructure that enable Vanta’s developers to create great products - shipping quickly, efficiently, and securely across the entirety of our organization.

In Short

• Lead multiple teams to deliver results consistently and sustainably while holding a high bar for execution and quality.
• Proactively identify, define, and lead strategic initiatives that align engineering capabilities with business outcomes.
• Partner closely with engineers & leaders across Vanta to create foundational building blocks.
• Guide technical strategy, ensuring alignment with Vanta’s business priorities.
• Build a high-impact engineering team - coach, mentor, and create an environment for success.
• Influence and shape Vanta’s engineering culture and strategy.
• Own and maintain Vanta’s FedRAMP authorization from an engineering perspective.

Requirements

• 8+ years of engineering leadership experience in a high growth environment.
• Experience leading & scaling engineering organizations of 35+ in size.
• Passion for leading, coaching and building an inspired team.
• Business acumen with an understanding of platform principles.
• Strong decision maker balancing ambiguity, data, speed, and quality.
• Effective communicator and story-teller.
• Ability to operate at multiple altitudes from vision to execution.
