Financial Aid Advisor - Remote

Overview

The Financial Aid Advisor assists the Admissions Department by advising prospective students about the financial aid process and helps continuing students manage their account balances.

In Short

• Coordinates communications to students and sends emails.
• Follows up on FAFSA and missing document renewals.
• Works on externship and graduation clearance processes.
• Checks NSLDS for student default status and overpayments.
• Answers inquiries regarding financial aid and student account issues.
• Reduces Average Accounts Receivables for assigned students.
• Demonstrates knowledge of federal and state compliance requirements.
• Communicates compliance requirements to students and staff.
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Bachelor degree or equivalent experience preferred.
• 2-3 years of accounting or finance experience preferred.
• Working knowledge of Title IV Regulations preferred.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills required.
• Ability to work in a proactive student finance environment.
• Must be computer literate with knowledge of Campus Vue.
• Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as needed.
