Data Platform Engineer - Remote

Overview

Our client, a growing SaaS company, is looking for a Data Platform Engineer to join their remote team from Canada. You’ll design, develop and optimize robust analytics systems and data architectures.

In Short

• Architect scalable data pipelines and analytics systems
• Design and optimize SQL queries for large datasets
• Build and manage data warehouse solutions like Snowflake or Redshift
• Automate ETL/ELT workflows using Python
• Integrate data from multiple sources for consistent analytics
• Create dashboards using visualization tools
• Optimize system performance for reliability and speed
• Collaborate with stakeholders on reporting needs and architecture
• Document system design, data flows, and integration points

Requirements

• 5+ years of Python in data analytics development and architecture experience required
• 5+ years of SQL development with complex joins and large data sets required
• 5+ years of data warehouse platforms (Snowflake or similar) experience required
• 5+ years of building ETL/ELT pipelines experience required
• 5+ years of BI/visualization tools experience required
• Experience with SaaS products required
