Data Platform Engineer - Remote

In Short

• Design and develop scalable distributed systems and frameworks for data management
• Focus on addressing fault-tolerance and high availability issues
• Collaborate with engineers across teams to identify and deliver cross-functional features
• Participate in all aspects of the software development life cycle
• 6+ years hands-on software engineering experience
• Proficient in Python and backend programming skills
• Experience with technologies like Apache Kafka, Apache Spark, Airflow, Kubernetes
• Excellent troubleshooting skills and creative solution implementation
• Hands-on experience with containerized platforms like Docker
• BS in Computer Science or related field; Masters preferred

Requirements

• Strong CS fundamentals including data structures, algorithms, and distributed systems
• Experience in designing, implementing, and operating highly scalable software systems
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to collaborate effectively with other teams
• Focus on maintaining SLAs on performance, reliability, and system availability
• Experience with service-oriented architectures
• Track record of implementing creative solutions
• Hands-on experience with containerized platforms like Docker and Kubernetes
• Experience with ETL framework maintenance and improvement
• Ability to deliver product features to internal and external customers
