In Short

• We are looking for a Senior Data Scientist to join our Data Science & Engineering team.
• You will be responsible for turning medical and pharmacy claims data into measures and actionable insights.
• Utilize strong quantitative analysis, SQL, and Python skills.
• Work cross-functionally with data engineering, product, and data quality teams.
• Design, build, and maintain scalable Databricks workflows.
• Implement data quality monitoring and validation frameworks.
• Support modernization by refactoring legacy SAS scripts into Databricks.
• Collaborate with the product team to define specifications and requirements.
• Continuously enhance your knowledge of the healthcare industry.
• 5+ years of experience in data science, preferably within healthcare.

Requirements

• Advanced SQL and Python skills.
• Experience working with Databricks, including Spark SQL and PySpark.
• A deep understanding of data lineage.
• Experience with statistical modeling.
• Strong knowledge of medical claims data and medical coding systems.
• Excellent problem-solving, time management, and communication skills.
• Familiarity with software development tools like Jira and Confluence.
• A passion for using data to improve healthcare.
• Bachelor's or Master’s degree in a technical field or equivalent experience.
