Senior Data Scientist - Remote

Overview

We are looking for a Senior Data Scientist to join our Data Science & Engineering team. In this role, you will be responsible for turning medical and pharmacy claims data into measures and actionable insights within our software as a Service (SaaS) solution.

In Short

• Work with vast national datasets of medical and pharmacy claims data.
• Design, build, and maintain scalable Databricks workflows.
• Develop and optimize PySpark and SQL pipelines.
• Implement data quality monitoring and validation frameworks.
• Refactor legacy SAS scripts into Databricks.
• Act as a subject matter expert on healthcare data sources.
• Collaborate with the product team on new analytic projects.
• Enhance knowledge of the healthcare industry.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in data science, preferably within healthcare.
• Advanced SQL and Python skills.
• Experience with Databricks and Spark SQL.
• Deep understanding of data lineage.
• Experience with statistical modeling.
• Strong knowledge of medical claims data.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
• Familiarity with software development tools.
• A passion for using data to improve healthcare.
• Bachelor's or Master’s degree in a technical field.
