Disability Project National Organizer - Remote

Overview

The Disability Project National Organizer will work closely with the Disability Project’s Senior National Organizers to build out the project’s organizing and programmatic work, focusing on improving the material needs of disabled people and eroding ableism.

Requirements

• 5 years of experience in disability activism and policy advocacy.
• Experience in community-based organizations serving marginalized communities.
• Expertise in facilitating workshops and trainings.
• Familiarity with issues impacting disabled individuals, especially BIPOC communities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Zoom applications.
• Strong communication, writing, and organizational skills.
• Experience providing access and accommodations to disabled individuals.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects effectively.
• Commitment to confidentiality and integrity.
• Experience working with diverse groups facing systemic oppression.
