Field Sales Representative - Remote

Overview

The Field Sales Representative is responsible for meeting and exceeding overall sales objectives while ensuring a high level of customer service when promoting TPC products and strategic initiatives. This position regularly visits customers and provides demonstrations in-person and must reside in the Detroit metropolitan area.

In Short

• Works with direct manager on opportunities to drive growth and support key business strategies
• Effectively communicate the features and benefits of TPC products within an industrial environment directly to end user customers
• Develop a territory plan to maximize face time with customers and drive new sales within an assigned territory
• Expand market share in existing and new strategic and high potential accounts
• Forecast future revenue, business development opportunities and market trends within assigned territory
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements

• 5+ years outside sales experience, preferably in an industrial setting
• Proven track record of meeting and exceeding sales objectives
• Strong communication, organizational and time management skills
• Ability to sell value (total cost of ownership) vs price
• Must be able to work 1 day in remote home office and 4 days visiting customers (per week)
• Previous experience managing a geographic sales territory preferred
• Bachelor’s degree in business, industrial distribution, engineering/technology or related degree or equivalent experience
• Previous industrial wire & cable sales experience is a plus
