Overview

As a Sales Representative at Top Hat, you will have the opportunity to change the future of education while growing your own business. You will work with colleges and universities to demonstrate the value of our platform and convert professors into clients.

In Short

  • Find, create, facilitate, and close new business opportunities in assigned accounts.
  • Represent and sell Top Hat's products and services including digital textbooks and SaaS platform.
  • Position Top Hat's value proposition to professors using inside and outside sales techniques.
  • Collaborate with Sales Development Representatives and Customer Success Managers.
  • Travel to campuses within your territory for in-person sales.
  • Work primarily on-campus during sales seasons.
  • Engage with professors to improve educational outcomes.
  • Drive and close large/complex deals while managing the full sales cycle.
  • Maintain a positive attitude in a metrics-driven environment.
  • Utilize feedback and coaching to improve sales performance.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience in a high-volume sales role, preferably in education.
  • Ability to travel 50%-75% of the time for in-person sales.
  • Valid Driver’s License required.
  • Strong sales skills including prospecting and closing.
  • Experience in a metrics-driven environment.
  • Ambitious and driven to succeed.
  • Ability to interpret and apply feedback quickly.
