Software Engineer II - Remote

Overview

Tilt is looking for a Software Engineer II to join our Leave Experience team and help us scale our product by independently delivering high-quality features, improving technical systems, and collaborating deeply with cross-functional partners.

In Short

• Independently build and deliver medium-sized features and projects that align with business goals.
• Improve system reliability and maintainability by reducing bugs and technical debt.
• Engage in product and engineering discussions, offering feedback and driving improvements.
• Write maintainable, well-documented code and participate in code reviews.
• Share knowledge and provide guidance to less experienced developers.
• Identify and communicate risks, bugs, or roadblocks early.
• Escalate architectural concerns to senior engineers and leadership.
• Own specific product components and demonstrate improvements.
• Participate in on-call rotation to help manage engineering escalations.

Requirements

• Experience delivering full-stack features from design to deployment.
• Ability to work independently and deliver projects on time.
• Consistent delivery of high-quality code.
• Empathy and collaboration skills with teammates.
• Comfortable working in ambiguous environments.
• Ability to learn software quickly.
• Experience in startups and/or B2B SaaS environments.
