Overview

The Director of People Operations is a strategic leader responsible for designing, implementing, and managing people strategies that align with the organization’s mission, values, and business objectives. This role oversees all aspects of human resources and employee experience, ensuring a cohesive, innovative, and inclusive approach to managing the organization’s most valuable asset: its people.

  • Foster an inclusive and equitable workplace culture.

Requirements

  • 4+ years in human resources or related field, with 3+ years in leadership.
  • Strong knowledge of HR practices and compliance standards.
  • Experience in designing scalable people operations strategies.
  • Proven track record in fostering inclusive workplace culture.
  • Experience in nonprofit or fast-growth organizations.
  • Familiarity with HR systems like Culture Amp, Workday, ADP.
  • Certifications such as SPHR, SHRM-SCP are a plus.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Data-driven mindset with experience in analytics.
  • Union experience is a plus but not required.
