Overview

The Account Manager is responsible for recording and maintaining a business’s financial transactions, including purchases, expenses, sales revenue, invoices, payroll, and payments. The role involves collaborating with the Accountant to maintain strong client relationships.

In Short

  • Perform reconciliations, month-end, and year-end close activities.
  • Manage Dext, Uncat, QuickBooks Online (QBO), Xero, and related systems.
  • Handle sales tax processing and filing.
  • Process payroll, including reconciliation, troubleshooting, and onboarding.
  • Manage accounts receivable, including importing transactions from e-commerce and third-party applications.
  • Create and analyze financial reports for Accountant review.
  • Conduct client-facing meetings and communications.
  • Maintain professional and timely correspondence with clients and team members.
  • Oversee accounts payable processes and transactions.
  • Set up, clean up, and convert accounting systems.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting.
  • 5+ years of bookkeeping experience.
  • QBO Pro-Advisor Certification (Advanced Certification is a plus).
  • Experience with cloud accounting technology and cloud practice management systems.
  • High degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines efficiently.
  • Ability to troubleshoot payroll and accounting issues.
  • Experience in a remote work environment.
  • Understanding of GAAP principles.
