YouTube Channel Manager - Remote

Overview

TED is hiring a media professional to drive the publishing of our world-renowned talks on TED’s official YouTube channel. The ideal candidate has a sharp eye, boundless curiosity, a passion for YouTube and direct experience publishing and optimizing large volumes of video.

In Short

• Coordinate the day-to-day publication of TED content on TED’s main YouTube channel.
• Produce and edit YouTube-first original video content, including Shorts and creator collaborations.
• Write and edit compelling copy reflective of YouTube best practices.
• Lead data tracking and YouTube analytics efforts.
• Collaborate on unique-to-YouTube marketing efforts.
• Partner with other internal publishing teams at TED.
• Monitor and develop a robust audience strategy for YouTube.
• Edit and proofread English-language subtitles.
• Manage the day-to-day relationship with digital product teams.

Requirements

• 3-4 years of digital media experience, including managing a large YouTube channel.
• Short-form digital video creation and editing experience.
• Experience using digital content management systems.
• Strong writing and editing skills.
• Super organized with precise attention to detail.
• Ability to pass a writing and video editing test.
