Field Service Controls Technician - Remote

Overview

The Field Service Controls Technician is responsible for the installation, testing, analyzing, maintaining, repairing, and training of Syntegon packaging equipment at customer sites, focusing on providing excellent technical customer service.

In Short

• Execute equipment installations, repairs, and training at customer sites.
• Stay current with control software and PLC-equipped machinery.
• Support cross-functional teams throughout the machine lifecycle.
• Provide technical assistance to customers and internal departments.
• Conduct training on equipment operation and maintenance.
• Travel frequently (up to 90%) to customer sites.

Requirements

• Electrical Engineering degree or 2+ years of vocational training in Electromechanical Systems.
• 3+ years in the Packaging industry with PLC and motion control experience.
• Advanced mechanical, electrical, and software skills.
• Proficiency in operating control systems of equipment.
