Field Service Technician - Remote

Overview

The Field Service Technician is responsible for the installation, testing, analyzing, maintaining, and repairing of Syntegon products at customer sites, ensuring excellent technical customer service and satisfaction.

In Short

• Provide turnkey support for new machine installations.
• Update and modify machine control software at customer sites.
• Coordinate development activities and upgrades for machine functionality.
• Support customers and collaborate with Customer Service and Sales.
• Work in a cleanroom environment, often in tight quarters.
• Travel extensively in North America and occasionally worldwide (approx. 75% travel required).
• Maintain machine configuration documentation during installations.
• Participate in continuous training to maintain technical expertise.
• Process detailed expense and trip reports for service visits.

Requirements

• 2-year technical degree or 5+ years experience in the Packaging Industry.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly.
• Flexible schedule for travel on short notice.
• Valid Driver's license required.
• Must be within 80 miles of LA area for customer proximity.
