Field Service Technician - Remote

Overview

The Field Service Technician will provide electrical and/or mechanical technician support to the site teams at various locations worldwide, focusing on Operations & Maintenance for Wind Farms.

In Short

• Provide O&M support for GE supplied equipment.
• Supervise and coordinate labor and resources for maintenance.
• Conduct inspections on GE equipment.
• Attend customer sites for planned maintenance.
• Perform turbine wiring modifications and upgrades.
• Assist GE Field engineers and technicians.
• Travel 90% of the time as required.
• Establish long-term client relationships.
• Make decisions regarding task completion and methods.
• Demonstrate strong communication and multitasking abilities.

Requirements

• Associates Degree in Electronics, Electrical Technology, or related field.
• High School Diploma/GED with 2 years of experience in electrical circuits.
• Ability to travel extensively.
• Customer-facing service delivery experience preferred.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to prioritize and organize work effectively.
• High degree of ethics and integrity.
• Ability to meet tight deadlines.
• Capability to implement performance objectives.
