Overview

The Unemployment Compensation Team Leader will manage a diverse team in the Training and Support Unit, focusing on improving program performance and delivering quality services in the Bureau of Unemployment Compensation.

In Short

  • Lead the Training and Support Unit for the Bureau of Unemployment Compensation.
  • Coordinate internal training programs and oversee an internal help desk.
  • Manage both in-office and remote-working staff.
  • Collaborate with other team leaders and management to enhance training quality.
  • Evaluate and modify training and support procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with human resource laws and policies.
  • Conduct statewide and some nationwide travel for team collaboration.
  • Promote a culture of continuous improvement and efficiency.
  • Facilitate effective communication within the team and with external partners.
  • Support the development of training materials and resources.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Public or Business Administration, Economics, or related field.
  • Six years of experience in management or related fields.
  • Knowledge of unemployment security program principles.
  • Experience in training development and delivery.
  • Strong supervisory and leadership skills.
  • Ability to analyze operational activities and implement improvements.
  • Effective communication and writing skills.
  • Ability to maintain effective working relationships.
  • Knowledge of process improvement methodologies.
  • Proficiency in applicable computer programs.
