Adult Protective Services Caseworker - Remote

Overview

The Adult Protective Services Caseworker will perform professional social work for incapacitated and dependent adults, focusing on investigations of abuse, neglect, and exploitation.

In Short

• Conduct investigations related to adult protective services.
• Assess the need for public guardianship.
• Document investigation activities and maintain accurate case records.
• Advocate for and coordinate provision of services.
• Testify in court as necessary.
• Work with various stakeholders, including clients and alleged perpetrators.

• Travel throughout Cumberland and York counties as required.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work or a related field.
• Eligibility for licensure as a Licensed Social Worker (LSW) in Maine.
• At least 1 year of experience working with incapacitated and dependent adults.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Knowledge of social service programs and resources.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel.
