Adult Protective Services Caseworker - Remote

Overview

The Adult Protective Services Caseworker will perform professional social work for incapacitated and dependent adults, investigating allegations of abuse, neglect, and exploitation, while coordinating support services.

In Short

• Conduct investigations of abuse and neglect for vulnerable adults.
• Assess the need for public guardianship and file necessary petitions.
• Document all investigation activities and maintain accurate case records.
• Advocate for and coordinate the provision of support services.
• Exercise discretion in decision-making during investigations.
• Work closely with clients and alleged perpetrators during interviews.
• Prepare and submit reports, summaries, and memos.
• Travel throughout Cumberland and York counties as required.
• Partial telework allowed with management approval.
• Engage with diverse communities and promote inclusivity.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work or a related field.
• Eligibility for conditional or full licensure as a Licensed Social Worker (LSW).
• At least 1 year of experience working with incapacitated and dependent adults.
• Strong communication and documentation skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Commitment to supporting diverse communities.
• Must be able to travel within designated counties.
• Experience in case management and advocacy preferred.
• Understanding of public guardianship processes.
• Proficiency in using case management software.
