Overview

The Adult Protective Services Caseworker will perform professional social work for incapacitated and dependent adults, conducting investigations into abuse, neglect, and exploitation while advocating for their needs.

In Short

  • Conduct investigations for Adult Protective Services.
  • Assess needs for public guardianship.
  • Document investigation activities and maintain case records.
  • Advocate for and coordinate services for clients.
  • Testify in court as necessary.
  • Work with incapacitated and dependent adults.
  • Complete and file necessary legal petitions.
  • Interview clients and gather relevant information.
  • Collaborate with community resources and services.
  • Ensure compliance with state regulations and guidelines.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work or related field.
  • Eligibility for Licensed Social Worker (LSW) licensure.
  • At least 1 year of experience with dependent adults.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information.
  • Experience in case management preferred.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Valid driver's license required for travel.
  • Demonstrated commitment to diversity and inclusion.
