In Short

• Provide strategic legal guidance on privacy laws (e.g., GDPR, CCPA, and other global data protection regulations) and best practices to internal stakeholders.
• Partner with product and engineering teams to assess the privacy impact of new product features and ensure privacy-by-design principles are embedded in product development.
• Work closely with commercial counsel to advise on privacy-related contractual obligations for customer and partner agreements.
• Support the compliance team on developing incident response strategies and creating privacy training materials for internal teams.
• Assist the General Counsel with responding to regulatory inquiries and data subject access requests and developing privacy policies.
• Collaborate with SpyCloud’s governance committees to enhance SpyCloud’s data governance framework.

Requirements

• J.D. degree from an accredited law school and active state bar membership.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in privacy counseling, preferably in a technology or cybersecurity company.
• Deep knowledge of global privacy regulations, including GDPR, CCPA, and emerging privacy laws.
• Experience working with product and engineering teams to integrate privacy and security into product development.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to balance legal risks with business needs.
• Strong communication skills to translate complex legal concepts into actionable feedback for business teams.
