Product and Privacy Counsel - Remote

Overview

Cedar’s mission is to leverage data science, smart product design and personalization to make healthcare more affordable and accessible. We are looking for a Product and Privacy Counsel to help provide cutting-edge, practical legal advice as we navigate rapidly evolving laws and regulations in healthcare, payments, consumer and data privacy and AI.

In Short

• End-to-end product counseling from initial stages of product development.
• Provide legal advice on consumer regulatory, privacy and security laws.
• Collaborate with product and business teams to identify legal risks.
• Contribute to the development of processes to improve product counseling.
• Assist with integration of platform with customer and vendor systems.
• Review marketing communications related to products.
• Draft and update agreements regarding products and services.
• Provide general legal support as needed.
• Work with vendors and customers to understand data flows.
• Contribute to the Legal & Compliance department's effectiveness.

Requirements

• JD Degree and license to practice law in at least one state.
• 5+ years of legal experience in healthcare/healthtech.
• Strong foundation in product counseling and privacy laws.
• Deep understanding of product and data privacy issues.
• Keen business and legal judgment.
• Self-starter with a collaborative attitude.
• Interest in privacy and regulatory considerations in healthcare.
• Experience with platform services for healthcare entities is a plus.
• Understanding of consumer-facing technologies.
• Preference for candidates in ET and CT time zones.

• Salary Range: $221,000 - $260,000.
