Staff AI Engineer - Remote

Overview

As a Staff AI Engineer at SonderMind, you will be responsible for developing AI-enabled features and systems, focusing on backend and frontend applications that enhance our Revenue Cycle Management platform.

In Short

• Design and maintain scalable backend services using TypeScript/Node or Ruby on Rails.
• Implement AI-driven web experiences with Angular/TypeScript.
• Architect intelligent agents using LangChain and LangGraph.
• Lead prompt engineering initiatives and establish best practices.
• Optimize performance for AI workloads, including PostgreSQL queries.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define AI product requirements.
• Mentor engineers on AI development practices.
• Serve as a technical lead on complex AI projects.

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience in web services or full-stack applications.
• 3+ years focused on AI/ML systems.
• Experience with Ruby on Rails or TypeScript/Node backends.
• Strong Angular/TypeScript skills.
• Proficiency in LangChain, LangGraph, and LangSmith.
• Background in prompt engineering and AI system architecture.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
• Experience with vector databases is a plus.
