Overview

The Field Service Technician I position at Smiths Detection involves traveling to various locations in Honolulu to install, repair, and maintain detection and screening equipment while ensuring high customer satisfaction.

Requirements

• Associate’s Degree or related trade certification.
• 1-3 years of experience in troubleshooting and field repair.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to travel on short notice.
• Strong organizational skills.
• Ability to lift/carry up to 80 lbs and move heavier equipment.
• Must follow safety precautions in extreme environments.
• Basic technical knowledge of Trace and X-Ray technologies.
• Ability to work in unusual positions requiring full body mobility.
• Must be a self-motivated and reliable individual.
