Trauma Registry Manager - Remote

Overview

The Trauma Registry Manager will collaborate with the Trauma Program Director and other trauma registrars to ensure the accuracy and reliability of the Trauma Registry, facilitating operations, quality initiatives, and research efforts.

• Assist with training and mentorship of Trauma Registry staff.
• Coordinate activities related to data entry, analysis, and reporting.

• Maintain compliance with regulatory standards and quality improvement processes.
• Participate in the submission of data to national databases.
• Develop and maintain documentation for Trauma Registry processes.
• Oversee trauma registry staff and facilitate effective communication.
• Represent the organization at relevant meetings and conferences.

Requirements

• Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Health Information Management.
• 5 years of trauma coding experience in an acute care setting.
• Experience with mentoring and developing educational assessments.
• Familiarity with EMR EPIC.
• Knowledge of trauma quality improvement and patient safety standards.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
• Experience with performance audits and team leadership.
• Strong communication skills.
• Certifications such as RHIT, RHIA, CSTR are preferred.
• Understanding of regulatory agency standards.
