The Trauma Registrar position involves participating in activities associated with the trauma registry, including data gathering, abstraction, and reporting to support trauma center requirements.

Requirements

• Education equivalent to a Registered Health Information Technologist (RHIT).
• Experience in coding, abstracting, and data management.
• Ability to interpret and comprehend medical records.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency with common office software and Trauma Registry software.
• Ability to prioritize multiple tasks effectively.
• Completion of trauma registrar course within one year of hire.
• Exceptional data entry skills with a high degree of accuracy.
• Preferred: RHIT or RHIA certification, past trauma registry experience.
• Additional education or experience is preferred.
