Overview

Responsible for maintaining a database of cancer information including the collection, abstraction, and follow-up of all cancer cases diagnosed and/or treated at Nuvance Health in accordance with national, state, and local requirements.

In Short

  • Full Time, 40 hours per week, 8 hour shifts 8:00am - 4:30pm.
  • Remote work possible - Approved States Only: AZ, DE, FL, IL, IN, KS, MA, ME, MI, NC, NH, PA, SC, TN, TX, VA, MS, MD.
  • Must have completed or be within 60 days of completing the required ODS education.
  • Must have ODS (Oncology Data Specialist Credential) within 1 year of employment.
  • Associate’s level degree or higher required.
  • Perform duties related to the cancer registry, including case-finding, abstracting, and follow-up.
  • Use multiple data sources to collect demographics, diagnosis, staging, treatment, and follow-up information.
  • Maintain an accurate suspense system identifying all new cancer cases.
  • Attend professional conferences to stay current on information related to the Cancer Registry.
  • Fulfills all compliance responsibilities related to the position.

Requirements

  • Must have completed or be within 60 days of completing the required ODS education.

  • Associate’s level degree or higher required.
