Senior Software Engineer II - Remote

Overview

Smartsheet is seeking an experienced Senior Software Engineer II to join our Developer Productivity team. This role will directly impact the speed and quality of our software development lifecycle by designing, building, and maintaining test frameworks, infrastructure, and pipeline automation.

In Short

• Build scalable back-end services using Kotlin and Java.
• Solve distributed systems problems with modern cloud infrastructure.
• Lead code reviews and architectural discussions.
• Mentor junior engineers on code quality.
• Collaborate with product management and other teams.
• Drive the adoption of AI-powered tools for enhancing quality and efficiency.

Requirements

• 7+ years of software development experience.
• 7+ years of programming experience with Java, Kotlin, or TypeScript.
• 2+ years of experience with cloud technologies (AWS, Azure).
• Experience in developing and supporting REST APIs.
• 1+ years of experience with AI-augmented features for SaaS products.
• A degree in Computer Science or related field.
• Legally eligible to work in the U.S.
