Smartsheet is seeking a highly motivated Senior Software Engineer II for its AI Platform Engineering team. This role is focused on building high-quality software and operational best practices in a fast-paced environment.

In Short

• Lead the design and ownership of the AI Platform Foundation.

Requirements

• 8+ years of software engineering experience.
• Hands-on experience with LLMs and prompt engineering.
• Strong knowledge of RAG architectures.
• Experience with AI evaluation frameworks.
• Proficient in Python and data-heavy environments.
• Ability to communicate complex findings effectively.
• Strong cross-functional judgment.
• A bias for clarity in ambiguous situations.
• Prior work in Applied AI or LLMOps is a strong plus.
