Technical Lead - Remote

Overview

As a Technical Lead at SiteMinder, you will guide a product or project team in technology implementation while ensuring coding and quality standards are met.

In Short

• Lead by example through writing high-quality, maintainable code and promoting best practices in development.
• Collaborate closely with the Product Owner to refine the backlog and perform technical analysis on upcoming work.
• Oversee the breakdown of product stories into executable and estimable technical tasks.
• Prepare work for the build iteration, ensuring tasks are clear and actionable.
• Plan, estimate, and oversee projects for structure and predictability.
• Monitor code quality across the team through peer reviews and training.
• Take technical ownership of resolving production issues.
• Guide the team in achieving performance goals and implementing improvements.
• Facilitate planning and collaboration sessions to align the team on goals.
• Foster a positive team environment by motivating individuals and encouraging solutions.

Requirements

• Excellent communication skills with a collaborative approach.
• Strong stakeholder management skills, including influencing and negotiating.
• Experience in coaching and mentoring team members.
• Proficiency with TypeScript, Node.js, Vue, Java/Kotlin, MySQL, and AWS.
• Deep understanding of agile methodologies and experience as a Scrum Master.
• Experience working with remote or distributed teams is a plus.
• Familiarity with highly scalable systems is desirable.
• Experience in secure and regulated environments is a bonus.
