We are looking for a SingleStore Principal Value Engineer who is passionate about customers’ goals, initiatives and objectives; and how to overcome the most difficult data challenges in the industry. In this role you will work directly with our sales teams, and solutions engineers to identify prospective and current customer pain points where SingleStore can remove those bottlenecks and deliver real-time capabilities. You will provide value-based demonstrations, presentations, and support proof of concepts to validate proposed solutions.

Requirements

Masters in related field (Computer Science, Computer Engineering, etc), or 7+ years experience in a technical pre-sales role;
Alternatively an advanced degree (e.g.: MBA), or 7+ years experience in value engineering or management consulting roles
Ability to communicate complex technical concepts for non-technical audiences
Experience negotiating complex deals from a value-based selling perspective
Excellent presentation and communication skills, with experience presenting to C-Suite
Broad range of experience within large-scale distributed database and/or data warehousing technologies
Demonstrated proficiency in ANSI SQL query languages and in analytics tools like Excel and Python used by FP&A teams
Understanding of private and public cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, GCP, VMware and hybrid architectures
