Overview

As an Engineering Manager at Shippo, you will lead a backend engineering team focused on building and scaling high throughput distributed systems, ensuring reliability and performance in critical product areas.

• Lead and mentor a team of backend engineers.
• Define and execute the technical roadmap for the Rating API domain.

Requirements

• 3+ years of engineering management experience.
• 9+ years of software development experience.
• Coding experience in backend languages (Python, Go, Java, Ruby).
• Experience with backend frameworks (Django, FastAPI).
• Solid understanding of object-oriented programming.
• Experience with REST, gRPC, SOAP APIs.
• Exceptional communication skills.
• BS or MS degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
