Overview

As a Centralized Liaison at Shields Health Solutions, you will play a vital role in providing integrated support to patients and pharmacists, ensuring high-quality patient care and medication adherence.

In Short

  • Provide legendary care to hospital patients with medication management services.
  • Work alongside hospital clinicians to serve patients face-to-face and over the phone.
  • Educate patients on pharmacy services and improve their overall care.
  • Support prescription medication needs for outpatient retail and specialty pharmacies.
  • Ensure patients remain on track with their medication regimens.
  • Communicate effectively with the centralized Patient Service Center.
  • Help develop new processes for smooth operations and patient care.
  • Identify medications requiring special handling and necessary supplies.
  • Resolve insurance-related issues and assist with financial assistance forms.
  • Participate in process improvement initiatives and maintain confidentiality.

Requirements

  • 2-5 years of experience as a Pharmacy Technician.
  • State registered as a pharmacy technician; national certification preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Word.
  • Empathetic communicator with a focus on patient quality and service.
  • Knowledge of specialty medications, including oncology and infectious diseases, is a plus.
