Overview

The Quality Improvement Specialist is responsible for reviewing and evaluating the quality of patient care documentation, ensuring compliance with healthcare regulatory standards, and identifying opportunities to enhance care delivery.

In Short

  • Analyze healthcare documentation for compliance with standards.
  • Review patient medical records for accurate documentation.
  • Conduct audits and inspections of healthcare provider documentation.
  • Prepare detailed reports on audit findings.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to improve patient care.
  • Collect and analyze data on quality improvement activities.
  • Participate in the education of healthcare teams on OASIS principles.
  • Must possess analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Requires current nursing licensure and OASIS certification.
  • Experience in quality improvement and healthcare regulations is preferred.

Requirements

  • Current unencumbered nursing licensure.
  • OASIS certification within one year of hire.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing preferred.
  • Three years of healthcare experience, with one year in home health.
  • Strong knowledge of healthcare regulations.
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to utilize EPIC healthcare application.
